QiO Foresight Edge Quick Start Guide

This quick-start guide explains the customer-side preparation required before QiO installs and configures QiO Foresight Edge. It covers the required hardware, network connections, internet access, and remote access details needed for QiO to complete the setup.

• ☐ Edge device is powered on
• ☐ Device has access to the internet or approved remote access network
• ☐ Device has a second network connection to the PLC or site network
• ☐ PLC-side IP address has been confirmed
• ☐ Remote access tool is installed or available
• ☐ Remote access details have been shared with QiO
• ☐ Local IT approval has been completed, where required

Setup is ready when the edge device is online, reachable by QiO through the approved remote access method, and connected to the PLC or site network on the correct IP range. Once this is confirmed, QiO can complete the remaining installation and configuration remotely.

Your preparation is complete when all network connections are established, remote access is functional, and your QiO contact can verify connectivity. From this point, QiO handles the software installation, VPN configuration, and application setup without requiring further action from your team.

QiO can work with commonly approved remote access tools already used by your organisation. Examples include DWAgent, TeamViewer, AnyDesk, UltraViewer, NoMachine, RustDesk, and similar remote connectivity applications. QiO will provide any QiO-specific installation code or connection details when required. If your organisation uses a preferred remote access tool, share the access method with your QiO contact before the installation session.
