AI Engineer

The QiO product development team is looking for A.I Engineer to join us in the development of cloud based applications using the latest cloud native application development patterns.

Data Scientist who goes beyond solving the given problems locally, performing a hybrid of data engineering, data science, and software development tasks.

Using data science principles, you will solve industrial business problems and deliver solutions in a timely manner.

You will meet with the customer to gather and understand their requirements, and will write a scope for the consultants as well as potentially managing the consulting relationship.

You will create pipelines to build datasets and databases.  You will closely collaborate with a team of developers and create models and testing processes.  

You will review data coming from different sources and analyse and identify source data.  You will ensure all data is robust, reliable and ready for use.

You will keep up to date with Industry 4.0 market trends, while developing knowledge of QiOs customers. consistently research new developments in algorithms, computing and statistics and apply those insights.

  • Very good Knowledge of Scientific Python, or Scala
  • Very good Knowledge in Mathematical Statistics
  • Very good Knowledge in SQL
  • Very good Knowledge in Data Mining and Machine Learning
  • Report writing
  • Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks: Spark, Tensorflow, Hadoop, Kafka
  • Write functions/scripts to build datasets
  • Build and test statistical models 
  • Complex problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent team player, but also able to work alone
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Comfortable being customer facing 
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Minimum BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field

An advanced degree in Mathematics, Physics or Computer Science.

Work experience with industrial clients, oil & gas, marine, aerospace and manufacturing is preferred.
